EducationLicensed Elementary Educator; 2010 graduate from The University of Montana; 3.84 GPA
ExperienceFor the past few years, I have held positions as a substitute teacher at Big Timber Grade School and Hellgate Elementary School, and as a peer tutor through the School of Education at UM. I have worked with people ages 6 to 21, and feel comfortable with all age groups.
Since I am currently looking for teaching jobs, I am working to gain as much experience as possible for the field. Tutoring is a great way to do that! From my experiences so far, I have proven to be a patient, reliable, and enthusiastic mentor. I am looking forward for my educating skills to develop even further through this new opportunity!
Through the School of Education, I took courses related to educational psychology, student behavior, different ways of presenting learning material, etc. I have also completed a music minor and courses in basic mathematics since my enrollment at UM.
HobbiesI enjoy reading, running, hiking, swimming, playing piano, and scrapbooking. I love trying new activities and meeting new people! In my spare time, I volunteer at the YMCA and Poverello Center.
