Private tutor in Denver, CO
Education
I have a graduate degree in physiology and pathology from the Ohio State University, and my undergraduate degree is in psychology and biology from University of California, Santa Barbara.
Experience
Tutoring and teaching has been my passion for over twenty years. I enjoy the challenge of getting to know someone's individual learning style and finding ways to help them, not only learn, but enjoy learning. A large part of my motivation for tutoring comes from my own experiences being tutored - growing to enjoy studying and learning, and finding I could do things I had thought were impossible. I have been tutoring and teaching for over twenty years. Over this time, some of the highlights have been: -Tutoring chemistry -Tutoting physics -Working as a teaching assistant for the Psychology of Stress class. -Co-creating and teaching a Summer long physiology course for conditionally-accepted premedical students at the Ohio State. -Creating and teaching a 32-hour class, "Introduction to Neurolinguistic Programming" -Teaching Anatomy & Physiology at community colleges (since 2012) Lastly, I tutor premedical students on their applications, focusing on developmental essay editing and interview coaching.
