Education

So I'll start at the present and make my way back; I am currently a student at The University of Colorado Denver studying Finance and Marketing. Before that, I attended the University of Central Florida enrolled in their business school as well. My GPA remained consistent at right around a 3.6 average. At this point I am studying to take both the GRE and the LSAT to see which path is best for my education after receiving a bachelors.

Experience

My first tutoring experience began when I was a sophomore in high school when I decided it was time to get serious about saving up for college. At first, I considered it nothing more than another job on top of my employment at a grocery store. But then, I immediately began to understand that this has always been as much of a learning experience for me as it has for my students. Every day I started to grow myself and realized this is something I'll want to pursue for the remainder of my college career and beyond. Starting off with algebra, I eventually moved into pre-calculus and advanced writing techniques. Those are the two areas I generally focus on but have assisted in various science courses such as chemistry and physics. Age range of my students has generally been middle to high school but I am flexible. I've had about three or four clients I still keep in touch with and can provide references if need be. My SAT score was a 1270, ACT was a 29. Other than that, I started college with close to an Associates degree after four years in a rigorous IB school. When I graduated, Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville was ranked 3rd in the country. I will be honest, nothing I've done in college has been nearly as difficult as those four years and it prepared me in ways I certainly did not expect. From AP Calculus to AP Economics to pretty much every conceivable college level course; it was quite the challenge, especially on top of working almost full-time. But it was well-worth the effort and my strenuous experience in the classroom tremendously improved my ability as a tutor. Since I was 16, I have honed my skills and know what to look for and how to get where a student needs to go and do it in an efficient and effective manner.
