Experience

I have been an educational therapist for a long time, helping students with learning disabilities by assisting them in math, writing, and reading. A lot of the students I work with have learning disabilities but are also gifted. I went to the University Michigan - Ann Arbor for my doctoral degree in psychology, and I've taught psychology courses at the college level. I also went to the University of Northern Colorado to earn a masters degree in teaching. I'm comfortable working with students from all ages and backgrounds in algebra, history, psychology, social sciences, social studies, special education, elementary school math, grammar, essays, geometry, geography, statistics, writing, ACT prep, PSAT prep, SAT prep, ISEE prep, and more. I like to build on a student's strengths and adapt my approach to meet the learning style of each student. I want my students to have fun learning. In my free time, I practice tai chi, listen to music, sing in a choir, and hike.
