Experience

I received my college education at Pomona College. I bring a variety of work experience to tutoring, in addition to my academic abilities. Throughout most of my college career, I was a volunteer in a local school, assisting elementary school students with literacy. I also worked for the public school system of Denver as a Denver Math Fellow, helping small groups of struggling students in grades 3-5 to master basic math facts. I am passionate about helping students to achieve through tutoring.I am available to tutor a variety of subjects, including elementary and middle school math, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, reading and writing (any levels from 1st through 12th grade), American history, social studies, social sciences, essay editing, and sociology. I can also assist students in preparing for standardized exams such as the PSAT, SAT, ACT, and GRE, and help them prepare their college admissions essays. In my spare time, I enjoy biking, hiking, skiing, camping, and practicing yoga.
