Private tutor in Denver, CO
University of Denver - Bachelors, Psychology and Sociology
Writing, reading, and comprehension were difficult subjects for me when I was younger student. Fortunately, I had tutors who helped me develop a love for writing and reading. When I began to tutor five years ago, I found my love for teaching, especially in the same areas I had struggled with years before. I am a University of Denver graduate, with a bachelor's in Sociology and another in Psychology. My coursework in social sciences brought me to Statistics, which is a discipline I absolutely love for its practical and descriptive nature. Many would think Statistics to be a boring and dry subject. With some teachers, it is. However, when a teacher takes an approach that is engaging and relevant, mixing in some quirky phenomena to stimulate interest, students will become excited and want to learn. My best teachers have been the ones who expressed sincere enthusiasm and passion. My goal is to teach and tutor that way as well, to structure lessons to be interactive and conversational. The right tutor can take even the most seemingly convoluted topic and simplify it for any learner. If your child needs help with psych, sociology, statistics, writing, reading, or comprehension, I am the right choice.
