As a tutor, I want to find out what makes sense to my students, as well as what they connect to. Once a student is able to make a personal connection to the learning process, I have noticed that things fall into place much easier for them. I love to tutor elementary and middle school subjects, and have had previous experience working with the Boys and Girls Club of Denver. Through there, I have worked with young people, elementary age through high school, in a wide variety of topics. I have also been lucky enough to travel to China and Tibet, so I feel I bring a sense of worldliness to my tutoring sessions with students.I offer tutoring in Algebra 1-2, Geometry, Elementary and Middle School Math, Precalculus, Statistics, Trigonometry, Chemistry, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, American History, Arithmetic, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Geography, IB Geography HL and SL, Pre-Algebra, Honors Chemistry, AP Human Geography, Math, Science, English, Social Studies, and the Clarinet. I can also help students improve their study skills and organization.I am a graduate of Humboldt State University, where I earned my B.A. in Geography.In my free time, I love urban gardening, running, and snowboarding. I also love to be outside and in the mountains.
