I lived with many Zulu families studying the sociopolitical role within the Siyanda Informal Settlement outside Durban, South Africa.
Experience
I was selected for 2013 Teach for America Corps due to my passion for every child to be given the opportunity to succeed and learn. I have worked with young (ages 7-8) children teaching sports and nutritional skills, as well as high school students helping with essays and writing skills. I scored very high on my ACTs due to my writing and comprehension. I also received a 5 on my AP English Literature and Language tests.
