Experience
I would love to be a math tutor because I am passionate about it! Numbers make sense to me and I love helping others make sense of them too. In high school I was Captain of the Math Team for 2 years, won multiple awards at Math Team competitions, was President of Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Honor Society for 2 years, and was published in Mathematics Teacher for developing a new method for problem solving. During college I took 2 extra Calculus classes as well as 2 extra Physics for Science and Engineering. During graduate school, I took Statistics for Health Sciences. During undergrad, I was a Microbiology major for 4 years before switching to Nutrition. I took all upper level science courses including Biology 1 & 2, Microbiology & Lab, Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Chemistry 1 & 2, Organic Chemistry 1 & 2, and Biochemistry. During graduate school I completed and ran statistical analysis for the completion of my project on bone mineral density in elite figure skaters.
