Experience
***Currently the HIGHEST-RATED prof at CUBoulder on RateMyProfessor!*** I've been tutoring since 2005, and I've been tutoring in the Boulder area since 2010 and in the Denver area since 2016. I've tutored for the University (specifically the athletics dept.), independently, and for various companies around the area. I can tutor Latin, Greek, writing, and most humanities. I also offer test prep for the ACT, the SAT, and the GRE. I'm extremely flexible and effective. I currently teach writing at CU. I am extremely comfortable with students of most ages. I love helping new college students get their bearings, or giving potential college students a glimpse of a college professor's expectations. I have also taught at Mullen High School (Latin and English) If you'd like to see reviews of my teaching, please see: http://www.ratemyprofessors.com/ShowRatings.jsp?tid=1818491 http://cufcq.com/instructors/christopher-ostro

Hobbies
I've got a ton of random interests. I love watching and writing about TV. I think we're living in the golden age of television. I'm also an avid PC gamer. I'm a huge fan of strategy games, as well as RPGs. I'm also a sucker for Minecraft. I've also been on a huge comic book kick recently. I think it's interesting how in many ways modern comic books echo ideas from ancient myth. I also hike a lot.
