Experience
I have been tutoring ESL skills to Saudi F-1 Exchange students who are working on Post-graduate degrees. Because the culture is very different than Americans and their time difference is so great many students come with anxiety. Tutoring helps them slow down the anxiety and relax into having individual attention. I have really enjoyed this type of tutoring and would love to continue with students who are having difficulties with anxiety and comprehension with the English Language. I have spent years as a psychotherapist and understand anxiety disorders in order to work with students who can be supported in doing ESL classes and diminish their anxieties. By history I am a writer and have also had several editing type jobs along with my psychotherapy practice. I have taught alternative education to adults for many years and am comfortable with a variety of students. I have been tutoring since I was in middle school years ago in English, reading and basic math. I'd like to continue working with foreign students and would love a practice focused with Saudi students.

Hobbies
I am an extroverted woman and I enjoy conversations with others. In fact, with my exchange students we have what I call English conversations where we walk and talk about a student's life, goals and interests. It's a relaxed setting to practice English without the stress of being graded. Personally, I enjoy walking, reading, swimming and volunteering and serving community efforts.
