Experience
I completed my undergraduate studies at Hampshire College, where I earned a bachelor's degree in environmental justice. During that time, I went to the Amazon forest in Brazil to collect data for my thesis on the Landless Worker's Movement and the ways agroecology can be used in sustainable farming. During my time in Brazil, I developed an interest in teaching and learning languages, which led to me becoming a certified ESL teacher. I have experience in tutoring middle school and elementary school students and working with people with disabilities. I enjoy tutoring all subjects; however, I am most excited about teaching English and Literature. I am able to help students of all ages in Math, English, ESL/ELL, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Phonics, Grammar and Mechanics, College Essays, History, Public Speaking, Social Studies, Ecology, Environmental Science, and preparation for the SAT.I enjoy swimming, baking, reading, hiking, and traveling. In 2013, I had the pleasure of hiking the entire Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine, which took me approximately six months!
