Education

I'm a Junior with a 3.4 GPA at Regis University with a major in mathematics and working on secondary licensure.

Experience

I tutored at my previous university for a year through their tutoring center and I was in charge of a math help session for college freshmen. For the next two years I tutored privately. During the last year I was in charge of educational programming at a domestic violence center I volunteered at. This involved basic tutoring for both adults and children, along with educational programs for the kids that I constructed myself. I have worked with clients K-College. I want to be a tutor because I like working with people and helping them understand the material. Mathematics is very abstract and can be very frustrating for many, so I find pleasure in making it a bit more palatable. I've been told by other students that I'm very good at explaining things in different ways, and adapting to the student's learning style. I was accepted into the Honors Program at Regis University, awarded the Transfer Scholarship for transfer students, and I have taught math help classes through my previous universities.
