Experience
I was an early childhood teacher for a total of 5 years with Denver Public Schools in Colorado, USA and one year at a private school in Queensland, Australia. While working for the Denver Public Schools I taught in an ELA-E classroom where about half the class were English second language learners. For two years I was a teacher for Early Reading First- which focuses on early literacy development. I am originally from Australia and moved to the States when I was nine years old. I have grown up and worked amongst a variety of different cultural groups and I love to work with people on their English language development, and those that struggle with reading and writing in English.
