I'm an experienced tutor who believes that the modern classroom model isn't the right learning environment for all students -- some students benefit greatly from one-on-one teaching. For more than a decade, I've been teaching a wide variety of subjects in different capacities to students. I've taught everything from history and literature to Latin and children's piano classes. During my college career, I attended Colorado State University and the University of Northern Colorado. While I was completing my master's degree, I worked as a graduate-level teaching assistant, and I spent five years teaching middle and high school-level history classes. Currently, I'm a faculty teacher at the Community College of Aurora.I tutor students in various subjects, including music, reading, writing, literature, phonics, grammar, American history, European history, social studies, and geography. I also enjoy tutoring AP-level US government and politics, human geography, comparative government and politics, United States history, and music theory students, as well as working with students who are in the process of completing their International Baccalaureate with global politics and world religions assignments. Additionally, I'm available to help students with writing and editing essays, including essays for college classes and college admissions essays.
