Education

American University - BS, Biology

Experience

I am a tutor who loves to teach in the sciences, but can help students in an array of subjects. I tutor in algebra, geometry, anatomy, middle school math, biology, life science, environmental science, physiology, microbiology, and a variety of other subjects. I developed my passion for science at The American University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology with a specialization in evolution and development. I also minored in the Theater Arts. While I was working towards my degree I tutored both high school and middle school students. I've also had experience teaching kids practical skills for the outdoors through a program I did in New Mexico. I've also done molecular design for the Army. I tutor with the understanding that every student has different needs and a different learning style. I really try to engage the students I teach and make learning as fun as possible. When I'm not tutoring I'm typically outdoors. I love to go hiking, rock climb, and explore the mountains. I'm also an avid reader.
