Education

BA History and Anthropology University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill 1988 Masters Urban Planning Virginia Polytechnic Institute 1992

Experience

Varsity Tutors 2014 - Present. Tutoring and tested for Computer Science (Expert) and French (through French 2). I am more interested in teaching at my own pace at this point in my life. I've mentored junior employees at the various places I've developed software and I enjoyed it enough to want to teach on a more full-time basis.

Can Meet

Up to 1 hour away for a flat fee, Up to 30 minutes away for no additional charge

Hobbies

My passions include technology, the French language, jazz (I teach drum set out of my basement studio) and tennis (I also teach 10 and under kids tennis and am a USPTA Level 1 tennis teaching pro). Most importantly, I KNOW that everyone can learn and I am a perfect example of this. My computer background and most of my French fluency is self-taught so I know how to help others learn a subject with little or no experience in that field.
