I currently work as an administrator for the School of Education at MSU Denver, but miss the interaction with my students dearly, and so I'm trying to transition back into an instructional role by the first of the new year. During the traditional academic year at the Community College of Denver, I along with my colleagues, served hundreds of students, from a stunning diversity of backgrounds. I worked with students throughout every stage of the writing process, modeling efficient project management along the way. Once, as I finished a tutoring session, my student told me, “You are a part of my success.” This memory, more than anything, summarizes why I want to return to tutoring. The work was profoundly rewarding and I took immense pride in the service I provided to my students. My availability is limited right now due my full-time job, but, as I said, I plan to be more available in the new year.
