I believe tutors have the power to make great contributions to a student's academic growth. Learning, and finding out how one individually learns, is a constant process. I struggled in math growing up and had a tutor myself, who gave me confidence. Later, I volunteered as an elementary school tutor and did this for four years. This experience taught me I love to teach others. Today I tutor reading, writing, English, biology, chemistry, history, science, social studies, public speaking, psychology, government, and math. The sciences are my favorite subjects to teach. By tutoring subjects that intimidate many students, I believe I can turn their fears around by explaining things so the student begins to understand the material.I currently attend The University of Texas at Austin, as an undergraduate, working towards my Bachelor of Science in Psychology. In addition, I am minoring in biology. My past experience and current pursuits as a tutor give me the skill set and passion to help people learn and enjoy it in the process. During the times I am not studying hard or being a dedicated tutor, you'll find me enjoying sports and doing anything outdoors, watching TV/movies, and indulging in science.
