Education

Ph.D. in Chemistry University of Missouri - 2019 B.A. in Chemistry New Mexico State University - 2014

Experience

I earned my Ph.D in Chemistry from the University of Missouri last year, As a graduate student I spent 5 years conducting original research and teaching undergraduate laboratories. I have taught lectures, lab experiments, group study sessions, and private tutoring sessions. My experience focuses on general chemistry, inorganic chemistry and nuclear/radiochemistry. I have a very interactive approach to teaching. I try to engage with the student and ask leading questions so they are able to slowly put the answer together rather than just being told. I also like to use simple analogies to explain difficult concepts and make the material more relatable. A lot of people say that chemistry is a difficult subject but I think it can be easy once you find the right student/teacher match.
