I have been teaching for five years, two of which I taught special education, one in middle school, and I'm now in year two teaching high school. Currently, I am a science teacher but also cover algebra, history, geography, study skills, and standardized test prep. I am passionate that students can understand the work and gain the ability to use the material in their real lives. If they know how to apply the material, students remember it better.I majored in Education, and minored in Leadership Studies, at Kansas State University, and attended Walden University as well. My teaching experience also includes working with students of all ages at summer camp. In addition to teaching, my passions also include traveling. I've been all over Europe and the United States. I now live in Denver, Colorado. Aside from working, my favorite things are running, being outdoors during any season, camping, hiking, and skiing.
