Experience
I am an English and ecology major at the University of Denver. I extensive tutoring experience, including working with students in middle and high school as part of a program while I was attending high school. I began tutoring pupils at the elementary school my mom taught at. I am most excited to teach English, history, reading, literature, and science. However, I can help with test prep, history, and more. If there is something not on the list, just ask! My tutoring style includes allowing the pupil to work at their pace. I don't force my students to speed through the material, I want them to move forward only when they are ready. Moreover, I believe that it is my job as a tutor to help my pupils understand the subjects they have difficulty with and help them move forward. My teaching methods include real-world problems, worksheets, and examples. When I am helping with test prep, I teach time management skills, which help the student study effectively. Last but not least, learning should be fun, so I do my best to engage my pupils and motivate them to do their best. I look forward to helping you reach your goals.
