I am a teacher and tutor currently living in Denver, Colorado. I received my bachelor's degree in Political Science. I received my teaching certificate, and then returned to school to earn my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am a recognized teacher in the Denver public school system, and I have a special gift for teaching ESL to students with special needs, be that students struggling with their education or highly gifted students. I have taught elementary school in Colorado for a total of eleven years. I am qualified to teach and tutor students in all elementary school subjects, including math, essay writing, reading, history, study skills, and special education. I believe that it is important for teachers to find means of communicating the subject matter to their students in whatever methods and forms are needed to reach them individually. Each child learns in their own special way, and it is the challenge of their teacher to find the right way to present the material in a meaningful fashion. I am an avid outdoors person, and I love hiking in the mountains, biking, gardening, and traveling.
