Education

I went to Denver South High School and graduated with a 3.0 GPA. During my time at South, I went to Community College of Aurora and finished concurrent enrollment with a 4.0 GPA. And now I am attending Metropolitan State University of Denver. I am getting my Bachelor's degree for accounting. I have my Associate's degree from the Concurrent enrollment. I also have my minor in Spanish because of the CLEP test I took in high school. Right now I am taking the following courses: American National Government, Principles of Macroeconomics, Introduction to Criminal Justice System, Multicultural America, Introduction to computers. I have a 3.7 GPA for this semester.

Experience

I have tutored middle school students in algebra. I also tutored them in writing and in English. I have also tutored college students. I have tutored from pre algebra to algebra 2. I have been told that I explained the concept better than professors. I have taught fractions and the operations with fractions to the quadratic formula and how to find the roots of the parabola. I love math. I have taken college algebra and college trigonometry along with geometry, algebra one and two as well as pre-calc. I love seeing students advocate for themselves and get the help they need to succeed.

Hobbies

I am a very dedicated tutor. The process of tutoring for me is when I teach with a step by step process method. I then make sure that they understand the concept. After explaining, I have them ask any additional questions to make sure they are comfortable with what they are doing. I then make up another problem and have them walk me through the process so I know that they can do it by themselves. I see potential and hard work in everybody I tutor. I make sure to be patient because I know that concepts that might come easy to some people might not come as easy to others. I am very encouraging and optimistic in seeing success. I like to know the progress of the students as well!
