Experience
I am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching Math. I completed my bachelor's degree in Psychology at George Washington University. I also minored in Math and Communications. During my time as an undergraduate student, I tutored and mentored students in middle school. Currently, I am in the process of completing a master's degree in social work from Smith College. While I am comfortable teaching a wide range of subjects, including Psychology, Social Studies, and American History, I have a strong preference for teaching math at an elementary and middle school level. I specialize in Arithmetic, Geometry, Statistics, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus, and Algebra I through IV. I also have experience helping students prepare for tests. I am able to help students prepare for the SAT Mathematics section, the SAT Verbal section, and the SAT Critical Reading section. I am also able to help students prepare for the GRE. I enjoy tutoring because the moment when a complex concept finally clicks for a student is immensely rewarding for me. I have a passion for learning and enjoy passing on my passion and knowledge to students. In my free time, I like to run, bike, hike, swim, read, and cook.
