I have a love for Latin American history, Cuban history, and American history. I have my bachelor's in History from Brown University, where I graduated in May of 2014. I would say that my love for Latin America stems from my living in Havana while I was studying abroad during my third year of college. I read as much as I can and as much as time permits. I enjoy a wide variety of books, ranging from English literature to Latin American realism. One of my passions is working with children and teaching them. I volunteered my time while in high school, where I spent many hours working with a special needs hockey sports team. While studying at a college level, I volunteered my time working at an elementary school where I helped run after school workshops and study sessions for children in K through 2nd grade. When I am not working with others, I enjoy trekking the woods and skiing. I also have a love for hockey and try to play whenever I have some downtime. In my opinion, being outdoors and partaking in outdoor activities is far better than being stuck inside all the time.
