Experience
I have been tutoring for 9 years. While in high school I mostly tutored algebra and I was a piano teacher to younger children (ages 7-13). In college, I tutored a wide variety of subjects to all different age groups, mostly 3rd grade to 8th grade. Some of the subjects included, math, science, social studies, reading, writing, english, and french. I have taken many education courses in college and had experience in a classroom in America as well as Denmark. When I studied abroad in Denmark, I had the opportunity to shadow a Danish teacher and conduct my own classes. Currently, I am teaching English and Writing in Bangkok, Thailand. I am returning to America on May 15th. I teach 7th grade and 9th grade boys whose first language is Thai. Many of them are not very good at English so it is quite difficult for us to communicate, but I thrive on the challenge and we have made excellent strides this year. In Thailand, I ave also been tutoring three children multiple times a week: One 1st grader, a 2nd grader, and a 9th grader. I tutor them in all of their subjects. Each week I prepare general material and usually they bring work for a subject they need help in. I also teach a 3rd grade extra help class with 9 students twice a week. I have been working with kids for over 10 years and hope to be a child psychologist. I have interned at Sheppard Pratt's psychiatric hospital in Towson, MD. So I have a lot of experience with children and adolescents with different types of disorders and disabilities as well.

Hobbies
I love to read, write, travel, and meet new people. I am very interested in multicultural and child psychology. I love teaching, but prefer tutoring - I believe a one on one atmosphere is more effective.
